AI & beyond 2019 – UK tech champions in Munich

The UK’s Department for International Trade invites UK companies (start ups and innovative companies) to apply for a place on a tech mission to Munich, Germany’s industrial and technological powerhouse.
This is your chance to meet up with Germany’s corporates and work side by side with them on their technical challenges.
Day 1 – 20 February 2019 – B2B Matchmaking, in collaboration with the Munich Network
Day 1 is all about matchmaking. A B2B matchmaking platform will allow you to prearrange meetings with innovation managers and digitalisation decision makers from large German companies. A jury of high calibre industry experts will assess your solution and, if your applicatoin is successful, will be keen to meet up with you in February.
An AI themed reception in the evening will give you the chance to network and get to know more contacts.

Day 2 – 21 February 2019- Accenture “ideation” workshop with German companies
Day 2 will be about inspiring and working alongside decision makers from German companies in workshops led by Accenture’s design thinking experts. Accenture recently opened the IIOT innovation centre in Munich showcasing solutions for the factory of tomorrow. This is your entry point to Accenture and its clients.
On that day Accenture will open its lab for UK companies and will demonstrate how it works and its ecosystem. This will be followed by idea generation workshops led by Accenture’s design thinking experts. For this, Accenture will invite a selected number of big industrial clients eager to get inspired by your ideas and knowledge. The workshops will allow you to work side by side with German industry and develop new ideas for their current technical challenges.

You can apply for one or both events (if you fulfil both criteria). Please note: each event has a dedicated jury, acceptance to one event does not imply access to the second.
Participation is free, however companies are responsible for paying for flights, accommodation, insurance, transfers, food.
