This WT@1 market briefing will provide an update on the latest economic developments in Egypt and the wealth of opportunities open to UK companies wishing to do business with Egypt.
- Egypt was the UK’s 42nd largest export market for goods and 55th largest export market for services with exports valued at £1 billion. In the last few years, the value of exports has almost doubled, comparing with 2013, reaching almost £2 billion per annum.
- The newly-expanded Suez Canal is strategically located on the main trade route between Europe and Asia, with more than 8% of global trade passing through every year.
- There is an abundance of opportunities for UK business to get involved in sectors such as ENERGY, RENEWABLES, CONSTRUCTION & INFRASTRUCTURE, RETAIL, TRANSPORT and many others.
