Attending an international exhibition can be a great way to develop business opportunities and build overseas relationships, however can be very expensive. The Department for International Trade’s (DIT) Trade Show Access Programme (TAP) provides eligible businesses with support in the form of grants to attend overseas trade shows.

The grants are offered on a match-funded basis and can be used for direct exhibiting expenses such as stand costs. Some grants may also be used to cover costs where the purpose of attending is to promote your business, for example, conference fees and promotional materials. Grant levels are between £500 and £2,500 though they are subject to change and differ depending on the trade show.

DIT have a full calendar of supported events which are covered by the Trade Show Access Programme and you can find the schedule for April 2018 to March 2019 on the gov.uk website.

Our team of advisers can help signpost you to the best TAP opportunities suitable to your business and will offer you support and advice on the application process, understanding the eligibility criteria and preparing for your trade show.
